Meet Rachel
I am originally from the Midwest but moved to California in 2010 and have slowly moved up the coast from Los Angeles to San Francisco to Seattle. I love being outside in the mountains and taking photos.
My love for travel really solidified when I studied abroad for one year in Florence, Italy. Italy will always hold my heart, but I love visiting other unique places with natural beauty like Iceland and the Maldives!
I work full time in tech sales and love squeezing as much adventure out of life as possible. I love sharing photos and encouraging others to get outside and see new things. I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and hopefully it will inspire you to go somewhere new, try new experiences and seize the moment!
Meet Clark
I’m a mechanical engineer by study that wandered into a career in technology sales! I am originally from Iowa, but found my way out west to California in 2014. We now live in the Pacific Northwest where I love to hike, ski and explore the mountains.
My love for travel first started in 2006 when I traveled to Uganda for a month to help build a primary school. This resulted in two more trips to Uganda, a six month stint in Singapore, and many more adventures.
One of my favorite places on the planet is a sleepy town in Northern Italy called Varenna, on Lake Como.
MEET US
We got married in 2019 after dating for 6 years. Fun fact, Rachel walked up to Clark in a bar in Chicago in 2013. While Clark was living in Baltimore, and Rachel in Southern California, we started dating long distance. One year later, we accidentally became neighbors in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In July 2017, fed up with the cost of living in San Francisco, we decided to move to Seattle, to start a new chapter of life together. The idea to move to Seattle came to us while in Kyoto, Japan - a turning point we’ll never forget!
Our first trip abroad together was to Italy in January 2015. We got hit with some worse-than-usual weather (even for winter) but had a great time. Rachel showed Clark where she studied for a year in Florence, and he even got ‘beat up’ during a Turkish Bath experience during our 24-hour Istanbul layover. Ever since, we have worked on our bucket list together. So far, we have been to 12 countries together and enjoy sharing tips and recommendations!
