The Best Hikes in Grand Teton National Park

The Best Hikes in Grand Teton National Park

Grand Teton National Park has some of the best hiking we have ever experienced and is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. With the most incredible exposed mountain peaks, unique wildlife, secluded hiking trails, and photography opportunities, there is so much to experience. We were lucky enough to spend two months exploring Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park from late-August to mid-October. During our time exploring Grand Teton National Park, we did several of the most popular hikes, as well as several hikes off the beaten path.

Lake Solitude Grand Teton Hike

Lake Solitude Grand Teton Hike

Lake Solitude is one of the more remote lakes of Grand Teton National Park and reaching this tranquil and serene lake tucked behind Grand Teton is no easy feat. There are a few different options for hiking to Lake Solitude, each with their own benefits. Although Lake Solitude Trail is a tough hike, it is absolutely worth it and we highly recommend this beautiful hike.

Day Hike Packing List

Day Hike Packing List

As avid day hikers, we have spent so much time and energy finding the best gear to support our day hikes. Generally, our day hikes range between 3-10 miles in length. Below, we have the packing list we go through before each day hike. Reminder: this is not a backpacking (overnight) gear list, but rather a list to support a couple hours, or an all-day mountain adventure. We suggest printing this list and checking off each item as you prepare for your hike!
